Citizenship: All interested applicants MUST be Nigerian citizens by birth and must possess a certificate of state of origin or identification.

Age: Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 30 and possess a certificate of birth or declaration of age.

Academic Qualifications: Graduates and non-graduates are all eligible for the SSS recruitment as graduates must apply with their respective B.Sc., HND or its equivalent and must attach the original certificate of their WASSCE, NECO or GCE result including NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.

While non-graduates can apply with at least five credit passes in WASSCE, NECO or GCE, not above two sitting including English and Mathematics.

Physical Fitness: Interested applicants must be physically and mentally fit to join the service. Note that you must have certified medical fitness obtained from any of the government hospitals in any of the 36 states, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

Character: Applicants must possess good character and must possess a document (Guarantor’s Form) duly filled out by the ranking personnel.

Height Requirement: There are certain eligibility requirements required for male and female applicants with respect to their height. As male applicants must be at least 1.7 meters tall, and 1.64 meters tall for female applicants.
