To join the Nigeria Immigration Service, you must be a Nigerian by birth.

Male applicants should not be less than 1.7 meters in height, and 1.64 meters for female applicants.

If you are a male applicant, your chest measurement should not be less than 0.87 meters, and you must be certified physically and mentally fit by a recognized government hospital in any of the states you reside in.

Interested applicants must be free from any form of sight problems, mental or ear problems, diseases, stammering, or disability.

Possess a certificate of birth or age declaration, health certificate, indigenous certificate, and certificate of state of origin signed by the chairman or local governments.

You are to upload your recent passport photograph with a specification of JPG, JPEG, or PNG image file, with a maximum file size of 200 kilobytes, at least 600 x 600 pixels.

If your recent passport photograph was scanned, you are expected to crop the image to a normal passport size, and it must be clear.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

To join the Nigeria Immigration Service you must possess a WASSCE, NECO, or GCE, at least 5 O’ level credits, including Mathematics and English Language, not above two sittings.

NYSC discharge or exemption certificate is also required for all graduates applying to join the Nigeria Immigration Service.

Non-graduates can apply with WASSCE, NECO, or GCE and graduates can apply with a Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma and those with an Ordinary National Diploma certificate are eligible to apply.
